My Story - because there should always be a story

I’m an artist at heart

My mind is architectural and mathematical

And my style is eclectic.

To me every design job, every set of plans, every website or presentation… is a commissioned work of art.

I always had a dream of creating a business that was inherently and uniquely me. I started my first design business in 2013. At first, my early projects were really focused on creating great pieces for myself and others. Being able to do all of these jobs efficiently and in a well rounded manner, I realized how unique and extremely diversified my skills were. My hunger for learning more about it only increased with the comprehension of every job I was able to master.

I started as an artist, became a commercial designer, and then evolved into an architectural designer. My latest iteration is that of a builder. I knew that with enough practice and study, I would be able to build the masterpieces I imagined myself. That is why I started my own company and after 7 years of development, now the product that you see is Sabina V. It has come from a lifetime of an artists’ endeavors and discovery into my architectural soul.

I always wanted to build projects from A - V. It took time to master every craft and every job that my boutique firm handles. The culmination of these efforts allowed me to easily pass the contractor’s test of the state of Florida and truly be able to provide a one-stop-shop service where the creation that I envision for people can be built and delivered as we fantasize together.

When I walk into a space, I imagine it like a painting, then I actually physically make it architectural. Being an artist helped me to perceive the architectural spaces in a multitude of layers than just through the lens of a designer, because I look at spaces as a piece of art and art as a functional space. I like art that becomes architecture, not architecture that becomes art. We architecturalize art, not artistically color spaces and structures.

A Bit Deeper…

While attending college for an architectural degree, I started working for a boutique architectural firm specializing in high-end waterfront homes, called In-Site Design Group. During the technological pivot of architecture, I was at a watershed moment in the architectural industry. Everything was changing, technology was replacing the drafting table. During my time at In-Site Design Group, I lead the charge in digitizing this boutique architectural firm and brought the business from the draft table to AutoCad. We photo realized renderings, increased all dimensions of each other’s skills.

Annie taught me the traditional education of how to draft according to the old architectural masters. This was a match made in architectural heaven and we have stayed friends and colleagues ever since. She taught me AutoCad, but I was able to teach the whole company what it could really do because of my inherent education at FIU which taught me to truly imagine.

I spent 8 years working with & building up In-Site Design Group. It was and always will be some of the most influential and mind-broadening time periods of my life. I was able to participate in all aspects of the business. I really got to learn how everything from design, to contracting, to architecture and permitting all fit in together to make a beautiful and functional home. For many years, it was just the two of us that did everything from A-V.
